I really love this machine and I have to say I probably couldn't scrapbook without it. I have all sizes of the Xyron sticker maker but I use this one the most. The cartridges are a bit expensive, but with just a little careful planning you can make the cartridge last a long time. Changing cartridges is a very easy process, and one cartridge doesn't have to be used before you change to another. This means that changing from adhesive to lamination and back again is a very simple process.
One more thing... If you have a Wishblade or are planning to get one then the Xyron 900 is absolutely a MUST. You can run your paper through here before cutting to end up with perfectly cut and sticky pieces. I ALWAYS do this when cutting out small items.

I am a huge fan of the ZYRON adhesives. If you have any kind of alpha dies, small project or big project you need to have a ZYRON or maybe 2 or maybe more. So easy to use, no mess, easy to replace the cartridges and perfect size for small things. So much easier than fussing with messy wet adhesives. I like making mini scrapbooks. Check out my gallery for all my scrapbook projects. I used my ZYRON for all of them.
I just LOVE this model of the Xyron! Although the refills are a little pricey, you can plan ahead to maximize the use of space on the sheet. I print off lots of batches of photos at once, and run them through the machine. Then, I just set them aside, and they are all ready to stick down once you get your LO all ready. The cost is definitely made up for in the convenience of this tool!

Not only have I used this for scrapbooking, but it's awesome for making presentation boards. You don't have to worry about anything coming "unglued". A tip I learned is to use the clear top paper you pull off and discard to remove any residue adhesive that may be stuck on the sides of you project. I recommend doing this prior to removing your item from the non stick backing.

I use this for more that just scrapbooking. I also have the laminating cartridge. This works good for big sheets of paper, photos, embellishments, just about anything. The laminating cartirdge is good to use on newspaper articles that you would like to keep from discoloring and tearing.
I love love love my Xyron 900. So far it's been used to make 4 paper dolls into magnets and it was really easy to use even my 3 year old likes it (though she just gets to watch not actually touch this one).
