Getting ready to make cards. I wanted something that would help me create them fast and still look creative. WOW, I love the Creatopia and all the stuff I got, Patternz to do some really cool border embossing, I even moved my border over to make my 4" x 6" cards with stars all over them. Love, love the Cutz, postage and scallop are my favorites and also used the scoring too. Now I have put fancy edges on my cards. 12" wide so you can run alot of paper thru too.Yes mass producing holiday cards was made easy.
I love to scrap, but I equally love to sew and craft. This is the perfect tool for me. The new fabric adhesive is wonderful. Just send your fabric through the machine, cut out and apply! It makes appliques so much easier and enjoyable. The cutting designs and embossing designing are so much fun and add to my pages and cards. I love this machine. It is not only verstile, but easy, easy, easy to use! Thanks Xyron!
I bought the Creatopia for the purpose of having ability to glue 12" paper, and it does that well. I like the 12" fabric adhesive also. I am waiting for the 12" embossing rollers to come available. Have been told they won't ship from China until March 2010.
The machine has a large footprint; the features are nice: full 12" embossing, embossing edges only, 12" gluing, ability to cut multiple strips, die cutting... but all this comes at a steep price. Each component is, in my opinion, pricey. I have two nice embossing/cutting manual machines and will not order the component to the Creatopia that does that.
I have found the cutting blade units to be hard to snap onto the bar. I emailed Provocraft and they told me that is normal.
Would I recommend this to a friend: No due to cost of everything.
I absolutely love this machine...it does so many wonderful things and more. From cutting to embossing to laminating I am so impressed! The Creatopia is exactly what I need to cut the shapes, laminate and emboss paper for my art work...yes I said artwork. This machine is just what i need to make all my projects shine and shimmer and glow. I find myself so absorbed in all the different design patterns that an evening will fly by and all of a sudden the sun is coming up..is anyone with me on this one? I feel with this machine the sky is the limit and I will be able to create a world of beautiful images in 1/2 the time it use to take me. Thank you Xyron for building this machine...!
Wow! There is NOTHING I can't do with my Creatopia. I LOVE that I can emboss and entire 12 x 12 sheet of paper. No more buying expensive embossed cardstock by the sheet! I can now choose my own color AND pattern and do it at home. I also LOVE the cutting unit. I can make multiple cuts at once which is great for making my own mini albums. Be sure to use the white bladeless paper guide when cutting to insure your paper feeds and cuts straight. The fabric adhesive is wonderful as well. I can now create my own fabric covered albums. The Creatopia ROCKS!!!
