I like the idea of the post bound album as apposed to the ring type, (i'm a newbie at this) but I have been asked to make one with a lot of embellishment, little envelops for hair, flowers, charms etc, and she does'nt want protectors, can I buy suitable heavyweight card to use inside instead? also I will need to have 12 of these inside, so would the posts be long enough?   By: User (22-Oct-14) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Extenders to lengthen the posts are available on the market. I use post bound because I like for my 12 x 12 pages to look like one big page when I open the book rather than have a division in the middle as in a ringbound. I personally don't know how you would keep the pages in the post bound without protectors. The protectors extend to be bound in the posts and none of mine have ever torn out. I have used some memory items on my pages from time to time but not a lot. I prefer flatter embellishments for the reason you are stating here but then my purpose in scrapbooking is to preserve memories and pics and not necessarily for a lot of decoration. I think you could still use protectors and the embellishments but jut not as many pages in an album. By: beth collins (23-Oct-14) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
