Questions & Answers
  • this is the magnetic mat, but i don't understand why it comes in an A and a B, why would you need both or just one or the other? sorry nut I am very near to the Evolution machine. i do understand the need for a magnetic mat but I'm just not sure which one I would need to purchase? thank you, Karen~   By: Coloradomama (12-Jun-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • magnetic mat A is for the original Evolution & mat B is for the Evolution Advanced. They can be used interchangeably yet my research has found the A mat to be slightly narrower. • Good Question. I ordered both but found I only used the A mat. It is slighter bigger than the B Mat. The magnetic mat works incredibly well. I loved the magnetic mat , but returned everything when I returned the machine. If you buy the Evolution make sure you download and print a copy of what setting is needed for a given die or product. I didn't and found it very frustrating to have to keep moving the dial to fit the stack and die or Embossing Folder I was using.
The Sizzix Big Shot is coming out with an electric version sometime in the next three months or so.
Maybe someone else can give you a reason for two mats. I didn't have the Evolution long enough to find i needed both an A $ B mat. By: joaniec (15-Jun-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Does this mat work with that cuttlebug?   By: N stuff (27-Jan-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • The Evolution and the Cuttlebug are about the same size so I don't see why this wouldn't work. You would have to omit one of you sandwich plates to accommodate this one.
