Please Note:
Do not use with Big Shot Foldaway or Big Shot Plus Machines – this will result in reduced cutting pad and die life. Also, do not use the Precision Base Plate with steel-rule dies as damage may occur.

Here's a sampling of what our amazing customers are saying about the Precision Base Plate:
Great Product
"I absolutely love this. I have several alphabet Sizzix Sizzlits that I have not used because they never cut completely. With this plate, I can use them again. No matter how intricate the die, it cuts beautifully when using this plate. And it works wonderfully when cutting hard-to-cut papers like Shimmer Sheets. I would say anyone who does a lot of die-cutting should have this product." -missphit243
Precision Base Plate - Why did I take so long to buy this!
"The Precision Base Plate has made my die cutting so much cleaner and quicker. It works first time, every time without having to run the die through my machine twice. The more intricate the die the better the plate works. An excellent product." - kmacdona09185
A Real Star
"The Sizzix Precision Base Plate for Wafer-Thin Dies is a real winner. I can't believe the difference this makes when cutting with the thin dies. I was making cards and having to run the dies and paper through my Big Shot a couple or 3 times to get good, clean cuts using slightly heavy cardstock. Partway through the process of making my die cuts the new precision base plate arrived and made things so much better." - marypatp

The new generation of wafer-thin dies are getting more detailed (think Tim Holtz). The Precision Base Plate gives you an added advantage. It's like cutting with scissors since you have metal cutting against metal. You get a nice clean cut. An added bonus, your clear plates will last twice as long. Worth the wait; worth the money.

An excellent product.
I have had the Precision Base plate as soon as it came out.
I loved the fact it cut all of my intricate dies out without any wax paper or anything.
It cut shimmer sheets easily.
Not one die left ANY kind of mark on the precision plate. You must make sure you put the writing on the plate DOWN onto your mag base or your base plate. With the steel side facing up, set up the cardstock, the die and the cutting pad and run through. Awesome.
BUT, lately, I've noticed a lot of metal filings getting into my fingers. Good thing there are tweezers on my table!
When I checked the thin die, I saw the filings coming off of the die!
I was using the palm tree and pail die set from ECD and the cutting edges of the palm trees were being flaked away.
I WANT to believe that it is a faulty die and I have contacted ECD about it.
But just be careful, if you notice filings in your fingers, check your dies.
You can run your wafer thin dies easily.....and NO mark shows up on the plate! Amazing!!!!!!! It eliminates the use of any other metal plate or shims!!!!
This is just wonderful, now my dies are not getting worpped. I have a Big Shot Plus machine and unfortunately Suzzix does not make a precision Base plate to fit the machine. I don't understand why they are still selling the machines for people to get ripped off, because you can't get the supplies that go with the machine. I have called Suzzix company many a times, and I do not get anywhere. Its hard getting the cutting boards for the Big Shot Plus, but it will puzzels me why they can produce a machine like this with no supplies. That's like buying a car with no engine in it or an engine that will last for 3 months and can't get repairs or supplies. I think that stamping places like you to keep buy dies all the time and they are expensive.
I am sorry that I got the Big Shot Plus Machine, but I can't afford another just to get supplies easier. I guess that is America, getting ripped off.
Great item. Use Framelits & thinlits often. This plate cuts like butter.
I don't have any really intricate dies, so I can't speak to that; however, I am pleased with the way it improves the cutting of my fine word dies (Tim Holz). I look forward to trying it on some finely detailed dies.
Have several intricate dies that just did not cut all the way. With this plate my intricate dies cut like butter.
I love the plate ...and yes it cuts like a dream, but when someone said no cuts show on the plate I do not have the same results.
Am I doing something wrong......Thinlits or wafer thin dies....show up on plate. Using Magnet base or otherwise....same results! Does anyone have an answer for this?
