Spell out your thoughts using the 3/4" Sizzix Alphanumeric Thinlits Dies. These dies are designed from carbon steel, allowing you to cut foil, vellum, paper, and cardstock to make unique crafts. This pack includes a storage envelope so that organizing your dies will be easy.
I love how I can make a quick title or phrase without having to dig out my Cricut. I feel a bit silly, though, as I thought these would come attached on a single plate, based on the photo. They are actually loose. The duplicate letters enable me to run a word through my die cutting machine in just one pass, which is quite nice. They were nearly falling out of the pouch they are designed to be stored in, so I store mine on a magnetic plate. I love having them on the magnetic plate because I can quickly find the letters that I am looking for.
These letters are smaller than expected but are the perfect way to spell out phrases and cut at one time(using a magnetic sheet). Shimming and or passing through several times cuts very well. Packaging is not good as these letters where out of plastic shell and floating in sleeve. I put my in a craft mate container.
Let me first say that I think this is an amazing alpha set, with the multiples of most-used letters and the two-in-one usefulness (negative space, cut-out letters). Clean, fun font as well. Now, I don't know about everybody else, but my eyesight gets worse every year and these tiny letters (about 1 inch high by half-inch wide) are a bear to get out of the dies! And setting an entire greeting like "happy birthday" on a magnetic platform with a strong pull is an exercise in futility if you enjoy straight lines — the letters get pushed together and pull apart like one of those old childhood magnetic handheld games. So I have just made a virtue of that and set the letters all askew, which looks really cute. Life is too short to spend all that time fiddling at the craft table! Next time I will buy greeting dies and save myself the trouble.
at least a chance to get all the letters I need cut at once. Why didn't someone think of this before. Note-you will want a magnetic plate to hold these.
Cuts nicely using my Vagabond and Percision base plate for thin metal dies. Enjoy having the option of cutting any letter or word I want! Would have liked the lower case letters included.
I like the font, although the size is smaller than I anticipated. However, the die does not cut all the way through the paper - I had to go back with my X-acto knife....which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of getting the set to use with my Big Shot. A big disappointment.
Lots to luv about this set - multiples of letters, only have to cut the letters I want, easy to cut negative letters. Repositionable tape is your friend with these! Taping the small letters will help keep them where you want them. When using the positive cutout, also line the letters up on a piece of tape to move them to your project. The only thing I would change is the original packaging - I was afraid dies had fallen out of the envelope. I store the dies in a small container maybe 5 letters per section now and it makes searching for the die I need MUCH easier! :)
There are extra letters in this set- so if you need 3 of the letter E, you can do it at once, for example. I love that Tim did this. And of course the letters are quality and will stand up to years of use.
This was exactly what I was looking for and has helped me in many projects. It's the perfect dive and type of font.
Love this product because of the size. I can use it in many projects.
