Thinlits are very thin dies made in a process known as chemical etching. Included in this package are three dies designed by Jen Long-Philipsen for Sizzix. The Ornate Labels dies measure between 3 1/2" x 1 7/8" and 4 5/8" x 2 3/8". The frame shapes will look great on any card or layout. Thinlits dies work best when used with one sheet of cardstock, vellum, metallic foil or paper. They are easy to store and easy to bring with you to crops and classes. They are designed for use with a BIGkick, Big Shot or Vagabond machine, with a set of Cutting Pads and the machine's Platform; when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform and Shim, you will also need an Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter (all items sold separately). Thinlits dies are very detailed and may need two or three passes through your Sizzix machine to fully cut your shape. If you are having trouble removing your shape from the die, try placing a piece of wax paper between your material and your die. For even more options, Thinlits can also be used to emboss. In order to emboss your shape, you will need the machine's Platform, an Impressions Pad and a Silicone Rubber Sheet (not included). These dies can also be used as stencils. Using ink or chalk, stencil on the embossed image for even more options. You will also receive a storage envelope for your dies (cut off the front flap of the packaging and place it in the envelope for easy identification) and a diagram that will explain how to use the die in each Sizzix machine.
