Sizzix - Thinlits Die - Frame, Iron Gate

Create elegant cards, invitations and frames using the Sizzix Iron Gate Frame Thinlits Die. Jen Long-Philipsen created this heavily detailed die. You will love the stunning swirled design. Made in a process called chemical etching, these very thin dies can be used with one sheet of metallic foil, vellum, cardstock and paper. This die measures 6 1/4" x 4 5/8" and will really stand out on all your projects. Thinlits dies are portable and easy to store. They are also easy to use in a BIGkick, Vagabond or Big Shot machine with the use of Cutting Pads and the machine's Platform. When using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform and Shim, use an Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter in addition (all items sold separately). Note that these dies are very detailed and may require as many as three passes through your machine to fully cut. If the intricate details are making it difficult to remove your shape from the die, use wax paper between the die and the paper. Included in this package is a storage envelope to hold your die, complete with a front flap that will allow you to quickly identify your die.

  iron gate

  I was very disappointed with this die.It looks good but will not cut through the paper at one end even with multiple runs through the big shot.The section that is cut is difficult to remove and rips. Very disappointed.

  Pretty Image - Unrealistic Cuts

  I concur with the previous reviewers. This die, no matter what tips and tricks used (multiple passes, shims, aluminum foil, wax paper, etc.), does not make clean cuts not does it release from die with out damage - ruining expensive paper. This image would be more useful to me asn a large rubber stamp!
