Product Description & Information

The Rose Flower Die Cutting Template by Sizzix is incredibly detailed. This Thinlits die from Sizzix will produce extremely realistic-looking rose embellishments time after time. When assembled, this beautiful rose is the perfect size to embellish a layout or place on a card. Eight dies are included in this package. They range in size from 1 7/8" x 1 3/8" to 2" x 2 1/8". This die cutting template is part of the Susan's Garden collection by designer Susan Tierney-Cockburn. It's a must-have if you love making paper flowers. Thinlits are wafer-thin dies that are made in a process called chemical etching. They will cut a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum. It's suggested that you use a smooth, heavyweight cardstock (80 lbs or more) to achieve the best results. Due to the intricate details on this die, you may need to run it through your BIGkick, Big Shot or Vagabond machines (not included) up to three times to ensure it cuts precisely. This die also requires the use of Cutting Pads and the machine's included platform. When using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform and Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required - all items sold separately. For easy storage, this item comes with an envelope - just cut the front flap off the packaging and save it for future reference.

    Beautiful lifelike roses

I have become somewhat obsessed with making my own paper flowers for cards and home décor. I just recently bought this die set and was very pleased with my first effort. I cut the petals from a pale rose paper, sponged the edges on both sides with a slightly darker ink, as well as sponging and shading the olive green leaves. With the exception of not cutting quite enough middle sized petals, the results were remarkable. My first rose looks like the real thing sitting on my craft table. This makes a good size rose suitable for a card, scrapbook page, or home décor. I next want to cut some fabric and put one on my sunhat!
