This is a steel-ruled die by Sizzix designed by Karen Burniston. It is a stand-alone product that gives you a label and leftover frame piece (the brown in the picture). It coordinates with Sizzix 658035 Album, Accordion Flip 3-D die which is an easy way to create a fun variation on a movable mechanism for a card, plus you can make your card or "story board" panels as short or as long as you would like, i.e., two panels or ten panels! (thus the album). There is an easy connect mechanism to attach panels to one another and a simple tab to connect the center piece (this frame/label) so it pops up. When you use both the frame/label and the album/accordion pieces together, you can make awesome creations. Be sure to follow the directions for assembly. Note: you should decorate and adhere the frame/label before you connect the tabs on the album/accordion sections.
Actually when placing the order I wanted to purchase the Sizzix - Bigz Die - Die Cutting Template - Album, Accordion Flip 3-D but by mistake I ordered this one, no, I am glad it happen, 'cause you can make so much, that is unbelievable... cards designs, scrapbook pages, School Projects, decorate gift bags, gift tags, altered boxes even a mini album and I could go on and on with the list, as a Scrapbooking Instructor I found this product very useful when demonstrating how many thing you could create with a single tool
One of the best dies I have ever purchased. It goes well with the accordion die saving me a lot of time and trouble. These two dies have given me more time for designing my end projects.
The end project looks so professional and cards of varying lengths are put together quickly. This is a must for anyone wanting to make cards to sell.
I even made a double flip card and put it into a pocket of a scrap book album.
