This Music Notes Letterpress Plate will make your heart sing. Ink-its Letterpress Plates create a unique look on any project. It combines stamping and embossing to create a perfect design every time. Sizzix Ink-its leave an ink-debossed impression on your project. Each Letterpress Plate measures 3" x 8" and is 1/8" thick. It's the ideal size to create a border on an A7-sized card. The finished impression will measure 7 1/8" x 1". Ink-its are simple to use. Just cover the Ink Plate with pigment ink, then top with clear watermark ink and place your paper on top. It's recommended that watercolor paper be used. Paper should be at least a medium weight or heavier (100 lbs or more) to achieve the optimum effect, but any soft, thick material - like paper, cardstock, chipboard or matboard - can be used. Then, run the plate through a BIGkick, Big Shot or Vagabond machine with a set of Cutting Pads and the machine's Platform (all items sold separately). If you are using regular cardstock and are not achieving the results you would like, insert a narrow piece of craft foam in your sandwich, between the top Cutting Pad and the paper. For more options, craft metal can also be used with the Letterpress Plates. Please note: this product should not be used with shiny or non-porous materials, as the ink will not dry. To clean: use water and a paper towel to rub off the majority of inks. Sizzix suggests using a stamp cleaner to clean the plates for troublesome spots.
