The Ornamental Elements Ink-its Letterpress Plates will create elegant tags or cards for any project. Ink-its are easy to use and stylish. Sizzix Ink-its leave an ink-debossed impression on your project. Each Letterpress Plate measures 3" x 8" and is 1/8" thick. Create a perfect border on an A7-sized card. It is easy to use. Just cover the Plate with ink from any ink pad, then place your paper on top. It's recommended that watercolor paper be used. Paper should be at least a medium weight or heavier (100 lbs or more) to achieve the optimum effect. Then, run the plate through a BIGkick, Big Shot or Vagabond machine with a set of Cutting Pads and the machine's Platform (all items sold separately). For more options, craft metal can also be used with the Letterpress Plates, but they should not be used with shiny or non-porous materials, as the ink will not dry. Please note: if you are using regular cardstock and are not achieving the results you would like, place a thin piece of craft foam in your sandwich, between the top Cutting Pad and the paper. To clean: use water and a paper towel to rub off the majority of the ink. If the ink does not clean off easily, Sizzix suggests using a stamp cleaner to clean the plates.
