I have always loved Tim Holtz Sizzix dies and was really looking forward to using this Typeset alphabet die. Unfortunately, I could not get it to cut my cardstock. Tried different types of cardstock, different shims, etc. in my Big Shot (which never gives me any problems), but to no avail. Gave an impression and the odd bit of cut, which I then tried to cut out the letters with my scissors, but the end results took ages and looked awful. Showed this die to a number of friends and they all agreed the metal cutting edge seems to be very low to almost non-existent. Have there been other problems with this die?
I love this die cut, it works well for my scrapbook pages and art journal pages,
with both majuscules and small fonts, it is the perfect combination for any title
bye bye alpha stickers, I am going to use this die strip for all my tittles
Love these letters--nice size--cool font style.
Letters are smaller than I hoped for. The large "O" is about 1/2' tall and almost 1/2" wide. But it works great on regular cardstock, nothing heavier. I wish it had an exclamation point, too.
I like the die a lot my only complaint would be I wish it cut thicker materiel s, but I knew this die wouldn't I got it to try and it does what it is meant to do. I hand paint papers that are anything from cereal boxes, wall paper to tissue paper and so I used it to cut some wall paper to use in making a tag and it came out great.
I'm loving these. I like that they are so easy to use and they look great! Okay ... I admit it I like ALL things Tim !
A wonderful addition to my scrapbooking collection.
Quite difficult to separate and doesn't fully cut through. Had to use my quilling tool and tweezers and still couldn't get a complete set of letters & numbers.
Práctico para hacer letras con todo tipo de materiales.
I found that the die doesn't cut as nice as I had hoped, even using dryer sheets. You need a certain weight of cardstock not too light but not heavy either, i will keep practicing. I like the font once I get enough unripped letters to use.
