I thought that I could use the regular cutting pads with these particular dies but it was VERY awkward...so I broke down and got THESE cutting pads and yes..you NEED them for the "On the Edge" dies! ( to make it so there is no slipping or rocking) Makes it LOTS easier! (I use the BIGkick)
I tried using the dies without this, when I finally decided to buy the plates I regretted I did not do it together with the dies.
I like using these with the edge dies. I have the long ones, but would recommend these for the edge dies!
These plates just fit the on the edge dies. Keep the die from rocking. Very helpful.
