I actually had to use one of them as a test piece. Cardstock covering will not work well as it doesn't bend and if you use different pieces, the sides and corners will curl. I found what worked best was handmade paper such as mulberry or very thin paper that can take the flexiblility and handle expansion. This is a really neat product as it can hold both a journal and photos. -BK
This 7 Gypsies portfolio is a cute idea, but I was a little disappointed at the size. It's not really big enough for most things I'd like to put in it, and for the cost, it's not really that interesting. It's fairly easy to alter, but there are ridges on it that may pose a problem when adhering paper to it. I'd like to see more ideas of what to do with it really.
