Description & Details
The 8.5" x 11.5" PixScan Mat for your Silhouette Cameo Electronic Cutting System allows you to bring creativity to your projects. Use your own digital camera, scanner or even your smartphone to take a picture of a printed material that you have adhered to the PixScan Mat. Import the image to your Silhouette Studio Version 3.1 or higher (software sold separately, free upgrade available) and add cut lines. Then insert the PixScan mat into your Silhouette Cameo (also sold separately) to cut out the image precisely. The package includes one PixScan mat that measures approximately 11.75" x 13" with a 8.5" x 11.5" cutting area. Here are some fun ideas:
  • Save any scanned or photographed image into your personal digital library
  • Incorporate any printed image or pattern in your custom craft projects
  • Digitize your stamp collection into corresponding cut files
  • Turn photos and magazine clippings into cut or sketch files
  • Replicate a pattern at its original size
  • Turn hand-drawn sketches and lettering into cut jobs
  • Save material and time using the "nesting" feature in Silhouette Studio
  • Add custom-cut borders and frames to professionally printed invitations
  • Digitize fabric patterns

Scan and cut any pattern, image etc!

I will admit it took a bit of patience and time to calibrate my camera (I have an iPhone 5). You have to have the dots from the calibration page fill the entire screen (no desk or table around in the image). But once I got it calibrated I was able to cut out star bursts from a patterned paper, add my own shapes to cut, save those starbursts for future cuts and more! This is SUPER cool technology and I have just scratched the surface with its uses, but I am excited to see what else it can do.

    • Does the Pix scan mat come with the little scanner? I do not see a separate one for sale but it seems too cheap to have scanner.   By: anda11 (29-Aug-14) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
