I love this product and most all the Distressing Powders. If you ink with the Tattered Rose distressing ink then use the embossing powder then you get that darker look if that is what you are looking for. I like the subtle look of the Tattered Rose as it works great on pages where I'm scrapping images of the women in my family.
This embossing powder is fabulous! And gorgeous! And Oh, so shabby chic!
I love most of the Tim Holtz distress line, but this product fell a bit short of what I expected. It doesn't show up as well as some of the other Ranger embossing powders, and the gritty texture makes it to where it’s not good to use on any detailed designs. I will continue to use what is left of my jar, but won't be buying it again.
I bought this thinking that it would be like all my other embossing powders.......
Stamp a design, sprinkle the powder on it, shake off excess, heat, and watch it magically melt before your eyes!
This stuff wasn't like that. You heated it, it sort of dyed the pages and then you rubbed the excess off! Not the typical embossing powder i expected!
I have all the ink pads in the fun named colors and wanted the powders to match. (I'm an ink freak!) I bought the tattered rose and tea dye in this powder and was not happy with what they have called embossing powder.
I thought for sure it was going to match my ink pads and give me that raised texture look, like most embossing powders do. But this one just seemed to dye the paper and leave a grainy mess for me to clean up!
