You'll wonder why it took someone so long to come up with this QuicKutz Magnetic Platform - it's genius! Cut dies and emboss using this Lifestyle Crafts magnetic platform. Dies are held in place with the magnets and won't shift around as you run them through your machine. It's accurate and efficient every time. The platform is longer than most platform systems currently on the market, measuring 6" x 13". That gives you even more cutting options - use multiple dies at once or cut larger dies. It can be used with any of the leading die-cutting tools. The mats have cutting grids and a ruler to center dies and materials, making it easy to cut where you want. The new design of the mats ensures they'll last even longer. They are made of self-healing material. As a bonus, you'll also receive 10 cutting dies in this package. These exclusive dies measure .8" x .9" to 3.8" x 4.4".
This looks like a good system, and I will use it for thin dies. However in none of the videos, given information or adverts does it say that for steel dies you need a second mat B. You find that out when you read the back of the box. Ok, if you buy it in a store, but difficult when you buy on line. The extra mat definately changes the overall price because I often use steel dies for fabric.
I love this system, I cannot believe that it took this long for someone to think of it. I just wish that the additional platform needed to cut all of your dies came with it.
The magnetic platform is a great idea. It holds the dies in place. The paper can still move, but you can tape it down with removable tape. Works great!
I love the size, but a little dissatisfied with the number of magnets and not being able to see the placement. Great for spell binders not so much for frame lots with stamps.
If you are looking to hold your dies in a specific spot, expect to still have to tape it down as this system works -upside down-. You place the die down ridge side facing up, then the paper on top of it and then the (self healing) cutting mat.
Overall it is a good system and easy to use. Love the magnetic feature, however, to make it complete you have to order yet another layer of the system! This makes it way too pricey!!
Purchased older die cut at garage sale thinking it had everything ( it didnt), this was what I needed to replace a warped board and one that was missing so far the board for thinlets hasn't warped and put a lot of pressure on it trying to cut felt. Only reason for 4 star is magnetic board is not a solid magnet but tiny circles spaced out so dies shift to find magnets, and 5he cost but overall happy I was able to replace vs buy whole new system
I needed to replace a couple of mats & saw this bundle at a reasonable price.
These platforms work well, very happy with them the extra length makes them easy to work with.

I purchased the genius platform system, and I really like it. However, My "A" mat has come apart and I have been looking for a replacement. What I notice is that you cannot purchase the "A" mat. Instead I will have to buy the whole system and the other mats are fine. Why don't they have replacement mats for this system?

Will this set work with my new Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine? It should according to measurements but just not sure! I want the magnetic platform but Spellbinders has not came out with one narrow enough for their Platinum 6 machine yet!

I just received my Genius Platform System! It is just what I needed for my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. It fits perfectly in my machine. I went ahead and ordered a separate B plate so I can use my Bigz Steel dies with this system. The 13 inch length is wonderful for cutting lots of dies at once! To my knowledge Spellbinders still has not came out with magnetic plates to fit in my 6 inch machine. Luckily Lifestyle Crafts did! Hope this helps anyone who owns the Spellbinders 6 die cutting machine and wants a magnetic cutting system!

Hello, taking a further look into this it looks like this machine and accessories have been discontinued from our website. We took a look online and found it very difficult to find replacement parts. Reaching out to the manufacturer American Crafts may be helpful to see if purchasing this item from them is an option.
