  • Disappointed

I am disappointed with this product. It's a beautiful die and stamp set but the dies leave a border on the cut images, including the doll. It's okay if you don't mind the border but as for me I like all my dolls to be borderless so I end up fussy cutting all the images, rendering the dies useless which makes for an expensive doll. The product itself is of high quality but it's the results I am not satisfied with. I will not be purchasing the other two sets but will keep adding to my collection with the other Prima dolls.

    Love Julie Nutting Dolls

I don't always feel like fussy cutting the paper dolls and this makes a great joint craft with my granddaughter. She cut it down to the line of the stamp, but I liked the very small edge around it. Having the dies helps you get done faster and saves the arthritic fingers. You spend more time creating and less cutting.

Questions & Answers
  • I am struggling with using my Julie Nutting Stamp and die. I own "Gracie". I stamp the image, then lay the pink die cut over the image and cut it out using the Big shot. I can't line up the lines on the die cut with the stamp. The stamped lines are not along the edges of the body. What am I doing wrong? What is the purpose of the holes in the die? Thank you.   By: scrappin 2 (06-Jul-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I still don't the purpose of the holes in the die cut. By: scrappin 2 (06-Jul-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Oh thank you Susan!! I tried what you said and it made more sense by actually getting my hands on the product. So for people who read this--These are the steps I did following Susan's suggestion. 1. Cut out the figurine (pink die) on piece of cardstock. You will get a cut out doll and the negative of the figurine. Set aside the cut out doll. 2. Use the stamp, ink and stamp on cardstock a new doll. Cut out around it so it will fit in the Big Shot (or other die cut machine). 3. lay the stamped figurine on the bottom plate. 4. Lay the negative image over it. 5. plop the pink die of the figurine in the negative space. It kind of falls into it. 5. Tape down (I didn't but I can see where you might want to) 6. Lay top plate on top carefully 7. Run through the Big Shot. By: scrappin 2 (06-Jul-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
