Great extra pair of hands for making bows. Making smart looking bows. Nice PINK case, great that all necessary items fit in the zippered case and main components store on the board. I do wish the instruction manual was just a little smaller--it will fit into the case if you kind of wrap the bottom around the board. I placed mine in sheet protector incase I do decide to carry it in the case (to help protect it). At the present I have not put it in the zippered case for fear of warping it. The round cushion pads for the spool holders, the plastic ribbon holders and "extra hands" clips, do not store on the board so I put an extra plastic zip bag to hold the extra items and the scissors so they do not roll around in the zipper bag. The item is made well and it does what it is supposed to do and more compact than the old version. You just need to practice to get the perfect bows. It is fairly easy to do. Youtube has a lot of tutorials that are helpful when you need a refresher or are having trouble understanding the manual.
Received the product and it is wonderful - I've wanted it since before it was available and it does what it should...BUT when I received it, it was obviously used and returned to scrapbook.com. The packaging was scotch taped back together, the pink foam part of the board had gouges and holes in it, the metal was scratched and the posts are crooked. It's something scrapbook.com should have examined before putting it back on the shelves to sell as new. Waiting to see if scrapbook.com will exchange for a new, never out of package one or if I have to return and buy from somewhere else.
**UPDATE: received a brand new tool from scrapbook.com and it was great - they responded quickly and were very nice about everything. Product was in perfect condition. THANK YOU!
I do love the Bow-it-All--it is nicely made, compact, and works well. The instruction book is a good idea but I found hard to follow. The text is so small that it is very hard to read and I did not find the diagrams much help. The video is good but the speaker talks so fast that I just had the hardest time keeping up with her. Also she is facing the audience and so the observer has to factor that in as she watches it. It would be better if she were filmed from behind so that the observer could view the bow making as she would be doing it. Also the pace needs to be greatly slowed down. Doing this is not intuitive and has to be learned. It takes time to process each step.
I've only had a chance to use this once since I purchased it but I already love it! Everything stores so nicely into the board and it's very well made. I love having the pouch to keep it safely stored when not in use. My very first try at making a bow took me a little bit to understand the instructions, but once I got it, I had a perfect little bow! (I know that next time I'll be much faster at it.) I absolutely love this product!
