I love all the distress products on the market...but I really love the crackle paints...especially this one!!! I've learned some more techniques on how to fill in the cracks with distress ink and it gives such a cool and different dimension to each LO!!! I love using crackle paint on chipboard and grungeboard! I also love that I can speed up the drying process with my heat gun!! This is a great product and I recommend it along with every other ranger distress product on the market!

I had doubts about a one-step crackle paint, but this stuff really delivers on its promise. A fairly thick coat is required to get a good crazed effect, so experiment a bit before using it on a project. Be aware, too-- this paint can be thinned with water and it still works just fine. My paint was *super* thick when it arrived-- as it, not even usable-- but once I mixed in some water and let it reconstitute, it was fabulous. I need more colors now...
This is the most awesome product. I bought it to use on a few projects and used it on a chipboard flourish that I had first painted red. When it dried and cracked, the red showed through. Awesome look. You just apply a thin coat if you want small cracks or a thick coat if you want large cracks. Awesome product.

I was so excited to get home with this & try it out. What I *did* like was the enclosed brush. Attached to the inside of the cap is a paintbrush (just like fingernail polish), so that was nice & convenient. I was however, very disappointed in the crackle action. Using grungeboard, I first painted it orange and then painted the black crackle on top... hoping to get a cool, Halloweeny effect. The crackle barely cracks. I ended up having to sand down the grungeboard to even see parts of the orange. I wouldn't buy this again.
I have tested this twice on different types of paper and different thickness of application. It bubbled a little but did not crackle.
