enjoy the journey cling rubber stamp

I have several tim holtz cling stamps, one of them just ripped apart about a year ago, and one on the same set was sitting in a sticky liquid that it created on its own and just disintegrated into several small pieces. So I am wondering if all will end up this way. I do not use any chemicals to clean them, just baby wipes, they are not stored in a hot room. I am curious if this has happened to anyone else?
