      AMAZING!

I've been wanting this for a year, since I bought my Big Shot, and I finally went out and bought it,,,,,,,I agree with the other reviewers,,,,,the smoothness of the rolling action is amazing! It cuts with one pass on dies that I normally have to put through 3 times on my Big Shot, and it embosses VERY deeply.

I wish it cut the thicker dies like TH, I have to keep my Big Shot for that, but what it DOES do (nesties) it does amazingly well!

      So Smooth

I love how smooth and easy the Grand Calibur is compared to the Cuttlebug. You can turn it with very little effort at all. I also like how they label the plates with what they are, so you do not have to remember.. and how they are color coated.

Love how deeply it embosses too. I really recommend this for your die cutting/ embossing needs.

      Couldn't scrap without this!

This is my first and only die cutting machine. I have been scrapping for YEARS but held off on getting into the die cutting because I couldn't find something I was 100% happy with, until this machine came out! I am so happy I waited, it was worth it. The ONLY complaint I can offer is that the handle squeaks when you turn it, but I don't care because what it can create is amazing!

    • Flawless results every time!

I spent hours researching which die cut/embossing machine to buy, not to mention watched dozens of videos to compare the machines, before I decided on the Spellbinders Grand Calibur. It not only produces deep, beautiful embossing, it cuts out intricute dies like butter. Just to be safe, I always do 2-3 passes for my intricate dies and this little machine has never failed me yet. Sometimes the die cuts literally fall out themselves. I also like the wide, 8.5" opening of the tray. I don't use the suction very often, but when I do, it holds the unit solidly in place. Like another reviewer mentioned, the handle does squeak, but for the results you get, that squeaking is music to my ears. The adapter (raspberry) plate does not come with the unit, but I bought mine at Amazon. I LOVE my little Grand Calibur!

      Very nice

This is right up my alley....no tech knowledge needed...just make like an organ grinder and out of the machine comes the prettiest shapes and embossing. I've been stocking up on dies and cutting out stuff....now to actually put something on a layout or card.
      Love it.

    • Great Machine!

I have had several die-cutting machines over the past few years, and the Grand Calibur is by far the BEST! It's really easy to use, and I love that the new "Grand Dies" are an extension of the "Large Dies"! This machine also embosses with a really deep impression.

I think it's a tool that every crafter will find useful!

    • What is the dimensions of the cutting plates? I have a 7 inch circle die I would like to cut but it doesn't fit in my cuttlebug. • Thanks so much! Apparently now the platinum is the same in cutting plates sizes. So therefor, I can do the platinum or grand calibur, but leaning towards the platinum. Just as long as somewhere honors the switching out of standard platinum cutting plates to the XL. Hoping scrapbook.com will do that for me, and if not, I will try directly with spellbinders.
