I've had this tool for a few years and enjoyed how it works. I always heat from the underside of the piece I'm embossing and because of that I can't always see how close I'm getting to the paper/cardstock. I've burned the motor out in one because it got too hot and won't do that again. I'm on Heat It #2.
I wanted a heat dryer w/a handle like a regular hair dryer because I think the other straight heat dryers are just too combersom to hold. Besides, I've seen some in the stores and they are very big in size; this style is just the right size.
My last heat tool (a different brand) didn't last very long, I'm hoping this one does better. It seems very easy to use with the way the handle is at a 45 degree angle on it. So far I really like it.
I have 2 heat tools. This Ranger one and another brand. I find myself ALWAYS reaching for this one to use, I don't think I've used the other one since I got this one. I love it.
I was pleasantly surprised that a product (that was a whim purchase) is one that I don't know how I lived without.
It does as advertised and am happy I bought it.
