These little peices of plastic are absolutely the best! No more messing with screwdrivers and adding extension posts with the Snap Load bindings. Once you replace your posts with this product, your pages will lay better, turn better and you can easily add in more pages anywhere you want. Double page layouts look better together, too, with no gaps between the pages! The instructions that come with the set are not very easy to follow so I'm going to help you out.
Just take out the posts and throw them away. Don't bother with the instructions on the pack for leaving the posts in place. Now take all your pages and thread the straps through them. The straps are flat and have a smooth side and a ridged side. With the pages laying on the table, the ridge side should face center of the book. I know you want to thread with the ridges faceing up or down, but the ridged straps need to face each other. Now get the mounting locks. Peel off the backing and you will see that they each have a little bumpy snap at the back on one end. Place those snaps inside the album holes where the screws were so that the long end of the lock is facing down for the top holes and up for the bottom holes. Now thread the straps through and press them into place. If you made your book too tight or loose, you can easily adjust them at any time.
I hate messing with screws in my albums. Hate it! Having to hold your completed pages straight up, unfold the inside cover flap of the album and with one screw driver to hold one side of the screw stationary while you use a second screwdriver to unscrew the the other side. THIS IS NOT A ONE PERSON JOB! Then you add your screws and pages, hopefully you don't miss a page - because if you do, you get to do it all over again. Anyway, after you've added your pages and lengthened the screws you get to put the album back together again.
If anybody tells me they scrapbook, the first thing I ask them is if they use the Snap Load system. Every scrapbooker should know about these. I order 10 or more at a time, because I would be devastated if they were ever discontinued. I have been scrapbooking for 13 years, and these make my life so much easier.
These are the best for replacing the posts. I am a post album girl, and I have only replaced my post albums that are too thick for the extension post not giving a tight fit.
I have not had problems with them coming undone, but I do know others that have and we discovered that there is a limit to how "thick" you can build the album before the glue begins to un-stick.
FYI, one way to ensure the snaps work the best is to insert chipboard strips in between each page along the inner post spine. This allows the album to lay flat without the bulging uneven look. When the album lays flat, this lessons the pull on the snapload adhesive and they do not pull off from the album.

I have always favored post bound albums, because I like to have my 2-page layouts continuous (right up next to each other). And, I like to be able to switch pages around and expand my albums. I don't create my scrapbook pages chronologically (rather, what inspires me while I'm scrapping), but I do keep all the pages from one year together randomly in one book.
The Snap Load system allows me to easily add pages, move pages around, and lets my albums hold TONS of pages without looking awkward or wobbly. It is fabulous! I'm changing ALL my albums over to Snap Load, and I recommend it to everyone I can!
I recently ordered these to try--having made my dd's pre-wedding album WAY to big LOL!!! I finally got them swapped out today- and I LOVE this product!! I will definately order more and start converting all my albums. I like the directions that Okispice wrote up -- very good. Personally I think next time I will put the plastic tabs onto the binding before threading the straps through, rather than the other way around. Anyway you do it, it's well worth doing, the book can be expanded instantly next time you add pages. No more messing with all these tiny metal screw extensions!! Toss them all!!
