    easy to scratch

These sheets look really pretty but they easily get scratched which makes them loose their beauty. In fact when I received the product the pink sheet had already got a scratch on it.
When using glue the colour also changes very quickly on these sheets.
They really look nice, but I find them too fragile to work with.

Questions & Answers
  • I purchased these sheets to use with my sequin(s) die & die machine, to make my own sequins. To avoid scratching the surface of the sheets- I was told to layer it between scrap paper & then run it through the machine. I haven't tried it yet, but others swear by it! I hope it does work out well b/c I love the idea of being able to do my own sequins, since this is the same material that mass produced sequins are pretty much made of. If anyone else has used this material or method, please reply & let me know how it worked for you- Or if you know of a different material/method to use, too!   By: alyssenicole (27-Jan-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I do have difficulty cutting Mylar. It seems the smaller the die or more detailed the harder it is to cut. I assume your sequins will be small, why not use a punch. I do use waxed paper with this material as well as Pearl or metallic papers. I hope this was helpful. By: burtonw (28-Jan-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
