After reading a lot of information and watching many product videos about the Scan N Cut machine I was excited and really wanted to purchase it. I shopped around and found that Scrapbook.com had great pricing so I went ahead. I am VERY glad that I did!
I purchased the Scan N Cut CM250 and it is everything that it claims to be. There are endless uses for this product and it is very easy to get up and running quickly. I particularly like the small footprint. It does not take up much space at all. I have barely begun to try all the features yet but what I have done so far with it has been amazing!
Go ahead and treat yourself. You will love this machine!
As soon as I set it up, I began using it. (Even without the English manual, I was able to figure out the basics. Brother has since sent me a manual.) No more fussy cutting for me, which my eyes are very happy about. I like that it is stand alone, no computer hookup needed. It is a bit louder than anticipated, but it is super fast at scanning/cutting. The mats are kinda weird, in that they don't seem super sticky- UNTIL you scan/cut then they magically seem to be coated in superglue. I look forward to having this machine for a long time.
I've used this machine a lot to do cutting for scrap booking and card making. It comes with a booklet full of patterns and a few fonts, and you can scan what ever you want into the machine to cut out as well. No computer is required, or expensive cartridges. It's user friendly and cuts nice. I haven't tried cutting chip board yet, or fabric, but paper and card stock are a breeze.
Cuts accurately and quickly. Uses online software to convert svg files. Only drawback is mat does not stay sticky for very long, I have to use a temporary adhesive to use mat now. Have done several projects and blade is starting to go dull. Haven't used scan feature yet, but machine is very easy to use overall.
