This ribbon organizer is a bit troublesome unless you can fill it up right away... and even then you deal with a bit of tangled ribbon which is supposed to be what you are avoiding in the first place. It's not a total loss... I'm sure it works for some people... but not for me as a scrapbooker. Rather inhibiting to your mobility as far going to crops... you'd have to really be thinking ahead and pull out only what you'd need (which i'm not good at... i tend to be a "take it all" cropper) and not be carrying the whole case cuz you'll end up with a LOT more stuff that way.
The idea behind the organizer is great, the execution is not. I was so excited to find it. I have all kinds ribbon on many sizes of spools from bobbins to mega – and from the big craft stores, stampin' up and everywhere. But the sad story is that whoever designed this did not actually put ribbon in it but more likely the manufacturer screwed up. The bottom section is oversized even for my jumbo spools. The middle section - well ABSOLUTELY NOTHING fits there! It is too small for the jumbo and large spools and too big for medium and small spools. It is USELESS! The top section is perfect for 98% of my ribbon. The tiny shelf at the top is for the bobbins. I don't have enough to fill the row so it is useless. They fall out because there is nothing to hold them in place. And that is true of all the "shelves" if you can't fill it they will fall over. They fall right out of the tray if you lay the organizer down to open it or store it flat. I really do think they made a mistake in the placement of the lowest shelf. If I could find some way to attach it about ½” lower, it would be fabulous. I kind of wonder if mine is from a messed up batch. There are made in China... something got lost in translation??? I use all craft ribbons, maybe this was designed for floral ribbons?? I would like to give it 0 stars. I plan to return it..
