This three-pack of Art Bin Magnetic Die Sheets will securely hold any metal dies you own in place perfectly (dies not included). Easily store your dies on the magnetic sheet when not in use. Each magnetic sheet measures 9"x7" and fits inside the Art Bin Magnetic Die Storage Case, which is sold separately (nm-6978ab).
I have several ways I keep my spellbinder dies. I have a peg board. I have a magnetic bulletin board. I also have two full Art bins and plan on ordering a third. For full use of the sheets, open the bin and let the sheets spread out at the opening (don't pick through the stack as this will cause all kinds of problems), file through the sheets, pull out the die set or sets you want to use. It is convient to keep the sheet out and replace the dies as they are used so they don't get lost. Also dies can be kept in sets. If the sheets were magnetic on both sides, the sheets would stick together. There are just a few tricks to use the art bin efficiently.
I am so excited about thes magnetic die sheets. I kept putting it off due to seeing the size and thinking one would not beable to get many on a sheet. As it turns out, they are perfect. I LOVE them. I arranged mine and labeled the tops with what was on the sheet. For example one is Christmas, Flowers, Leaves, Shapes, Hearts, Labels, Tags, etc. It makes it so easy to get to and I have found I can get quite a few on each one. I wanted to tell Belffinder since she is not happy with them, to let me know at lcrawford2455atyahoo.com and I will be more than happy to buy hers from her.
The person who invented the magnetic sheets for the art bin is a genius. My drawers were a mess of spellbinders dies that I kept in the original packaging but could never find the one I wanted and when I did, it was a hassle to get it out of the packaging and then get it back in. Now my dies are neatly on my desk in the art bin, not getting bent or damaged, within arms reach and I can easily reach the size and shape I want. I feel like a new woman.
These sheets and the Art Bin case are the perfect way to store and carry my dies at home and when traveling. I keep my dies sorted by whether they're shapes such as hearts, stars, ovals, etc. or designs such as swirls, beach themes, and flower borders. I like being able to add the magnetic die sheets as my die collection grows.
This product is too small to be cost effective...cannot get very many die on a page...would have been better if magnetic on both sides...then the edges curl a little which really cuts down on how much it will hold...Since I opened it and discovered how ineffectual it was, now it cannot be returned!
bummer!!
This is a terrific system for anyone who uses dies for card-making or scrapbooking. It's reasonably priced and you can use separate Artbin cases for different type of dies, making it easy to find what you're looking for. Scrapbook.com has them for a good price and they were readily available.
These additional magnetic sheets are for the 2 Art Bin die boxes I use to store my dies. Each box holds more than 15 of these magnetic sheets. This makes for compact storage of dies. The boxes do get heavy with that many sheets, but they've held up for more than 5 years. I have my dies organized by theme, so I always know where to find my circle or butterfly dies, for example. The boxes come with 3 die sheets, so it's great I can buy extra sheets. The white color is also nice to see the dies clearly.
Trying to keep up with all my thin dies has been a real pain - until now. I've seen lots of options, but this is actually workable, and affordable. The magnetic sheet is the same as the ones you can buy at any craft/hobby store, but they are cut to fit perfectly in the case. I really like being able to see my dies easily, with out having to open up envelopes or individual cases. I have 9 sheets and there is still lots of space after my 125 dies.
I use these sheets to store my various dies in a large rectangular plastic bin and love how strong they are. It is easy to flip through them as they are in an upright position and I can find the dies I need quickly. Also, the Art Bin brand has the best price, so I always choose them when I need to order more.
I think Art Bin is one of the best as far as storage goes. I have at least 6 of these container w/ the sheets just so I can store like products together. Although I haven't completely filled a container yet, I can tell you each sheet holds a lot of dies. It is a great system
