I liked this very much for storing my pens. It's easy to open yet secure. I have about 30 pens in it. The only problem I have is that the longer colored pens do not fit, hence the 4-star rating.

I use these for my Copic markers, pens, other markers I own as well. They are great organizers and easy to see what is inside. I have been buying them for years. I haven't found anything as good as these. Fabulous containers. I also use them for storing small die cuts that I have lying around to use later.
I love these Artbin compartment boxes! They hold my Spectrum Noir markers beautifully, they are easy to see in the box, the boxes stack nicely on my desk, And transport nicely. My other markers fit well too, Plus, they are very sturdy. I’m glad you still carry them!
This did not fit the pens I bought it for which was disappointing and if I lived in the states I would’ve attempted to return it. However, I now use it to store my domed blender foams (which are mounted on little custom paper cards) as I don’t own enough tools for all of them. It works well for that purpose but as a pen holder it didn’t fit my needs.

I'm not familiar with zigzag but if they are same length as Tim Holtz distress markers then answer is no

Can you store Copic markers in this case? If so, approximately how many would fit in one case?

Yes, you can store Copic markers in these cases. If you have a few markers, it will probably work fine. I could get eight markers in a row, and it will fill two rows. If you have Copic marker storage containers, use them. You can fit about 60 markers in the Copic storage. I use these cases for markers when I have fewer numbers of them, i.e. Tombow, Altenew, or Tim Holtz.
