The Martha Stewart Heating Tool is an accurate and wonderful heating gun for all those who cope with embossing powders. The outcome is great! There has been one problem, though, for myself. The plug outlet is designed for U.S. electricity supplies and the tool itself is working at 120 V. In Greece where I live, the electricity supply is for 220 V. The result was me looking for the appropriate electric distributor in order to get my tool going. And the worst part is that while the heating tool costs about 18.00 euros, the right distributor costs 25.00 euros. That makes a total of 43.00 euros. So I would recommend that product to a friend who lives in the U.S. In fact, in the product description page this requirement should be pointed out clearly!
What is different about this product is the wire that supports the point of the tool. It makes it easier to work with, because you don't have to prep a heat-resisting surface in which you to lay your tool.
I've used my MSC Heating tool with powder embossing and to quick-dry stamping projects and it's worked great. The only problem I have is it's inability to stay up on it's little stand- the thin wire is too weak to support the tool.
this tool works great with embossing powders but as stated in the other review it does have trouble staying up on its little wire stand other than that i cant fault it
This is my first heating tool but so far it does what it says it will! I have no real complaints on this one!
