I bought the puncher for some pages I wanted to copy. Looking at the directions in the box somehow it looked a bit complicated to use. Because of this, I put those projects where I needed the punch on the side. After watching the video, it seemed easy to use and actually it is even easier to use than the video shows. Forget about marking the center of the paper, you can figure it out yourself. I can't believe how easy it is to use. I feel ridiculous now that I felt it would be either difficult or time-consuming to figure out using. I love these punchers; a must have.
This Punch Starter Kit is amazing. It takes you a little bit to understand the instructions but once it clicks and you do a full circle it looks beautiful. A great invention by MS. I am so going to enjoy using this amazing punch with all the interchangeable circle punches.
this punch system by Martha is so versatile and easy to use. How fun and creative it is to be able to create different sizes with the same edge. Good job MS>
Once again, Martha Stewart Inc. is ahead of the pack. Now like any other punch it has a very specific reason & design behind it. It means you won't be able to punch out squares or rectangle but because there are a lot of different cartridges to choose from which will enhance any project. It will be able to go from size 6x6 to 12x12. It is possible to cut circles .25" increments. It layers really beautifully. I love this punch system. It does waste a good proportion of paper but the end result makes you forget how much you've cut off (so that can be a pro or a con :) ).
There are a couple of problems with this tool too. Measuring the direct center and trying initially to sandwich the paper under the magnetic cap is a problem. If a person has dexterity problems they may need to have someone else. to do it as it is difficult to do. It's really important to keep the top and bottom pieces of the cartridge together. The plastic cap is strong, and minimizes the storage space in your craft room.
Really good investment.
I haven't had a chance to actually take the time to figure out how to work the punch so I haven't used it yet. I'm not sure I really like it but then I admit to being a lazy crafter and don't much care for things I don't really understand right off the bat. This punch falls into this category, but I will figure it out eventually because I do like the results in the pictures I've seen.
Bought, but not sure I'll keep it. It's a very manual process to create a circle. I think this is a high investment for a one-note tool. I'm not sure yet that I'll use it enough to get the payback (especially if I buy different patterns). Also, the punch that came in the kit is a little sticky for me. I have to put some weight behind punching it.
