Everyone loves those cute little metal rimmed tags, and they can be used in ton of different ways! I'm excited that I can now make my own tags like that.
Just pick out any cardstock, use the provided stencil to trace out the shape of your tag, cut it out, pop it in one of the provided rims, pop THAT into the tag maker, press and voila! A tag!
This kit comes with both square and circle metal rims...and the stencils needed for both shapes. After you run out of rims, you do have to purchase more, but they are inexpensive so it's no big deal.
The MM tag maker is easy to use, comfortable to hold and even locks shut when not in use. 5 stars!!

i just recived mine and i hve so much fun with this!!! it really makes a project stand out!!! the thing i like about it you still get the excitment of the project without it being so bulgy that your project won't lay flat enough for the next page!!! "this is a must have"

I bought one of these years ago and I've loved it ever since. It is easy to use and you don't have to be muscule man or woman to bend the metal.
User friendly. Great item to use for those extra place that a tag is perfect for.
I happen to like this tool and have had no problems working with it, if your tag is getting stuck inside the machine then you are sliding in the wrong way, try flipping it the up position, the only thing i kinda wish was available with this tool is a combination pack of metal frames, the ladies are right, you cannot buy combo packs you are only given one shape at a time and you have to purchase each separtely...Someone in marketing should offer the combo pack!!! Hence the reason i gave it a 4 star rating...
I really like my tag maker... well now that there are punches that make the shapes! I am cutting retarded, so it was too hard for me to use the stencils, but now that they make the punches to go with them, I use it all the time. I like making the tags out of my own paper, so that's why I use it. I gave it four stars because the kit doesn't come with the punches (you have to buy them separately) BUT it gives you the freedom to decide what you want your tags made out of.
I have the tagmaker and I have used it, it works like it is supposed too, and the looks is SOO Super cute! The only thing that I have a hangup with is that some times the paper you cut out (they provide templates to trace and cut the shapes) sometimes the paper has a hard time staying in the tag so watch out for this, and don't get frustrated if it happens... overall this is a great tool and you gotta love Making Memories! Their stuff rocks!
I bought my tag maker a week or so ago and have used it several times. I do agree that the tags could be squashed using a hammer or rolling pin but why do that when you have a fun tool like this? My tags were getting stuck inside the squisher part but I solved that by putting just part of the tag inside the squishing part and rotating it a few times until the whole tag has been squished.
I read the other reviews....and yes it does seem a bit wimpy when you get it out of the packaging. I think that it does do the job it's intended to do, however, squashing the metal tags could probably be done with a rolling pin or a hammer if you didn't have this tool. All in all, it works fine and I love the tags it creates.

I really like the tag maker. I have used it several times since I have bought it. The only damperis that you have to cut the shape out first.
