    Can't live without this tool.

I have had my stamp-a-ma-jig for over 10 years and I keep it right at my fingertips when I'm stamping. There is it's intended use, of course, which is to align your stamped image precisely, (especially if it is a wood mounted stamp and you can't see through it.) Here are 4 new reasons I keep my stamp a ma jig within reach.

    1. Slick surfaces. If you are using pigment ink or stamping on vellum or acetate, you can use your positioner to keep your block steady. Before you ink your stamp, stamp in place and lay down your positioner and hold with one hand. Then ink up your stamp and use the positioner corner to keep your stamping hand from wobbling. It works perfectly.

    2. When applying Versamark over a black stamped image. When you want to clear heat emboss over an image stamped in black, place your stamp positioner in place before you lift up from the first stamping. Then you can clean your stamp, re-ink with Versamark and your placement is all done for you. You don’t have to eyeball it.

    3. Double stamping. As we all know, Distress Inks don’t stamp very well so when I really want to use them, I always double stamp. Lay your stamp positioner in place before lifting your block from the first print and you can easily stamp in the same spot again. Again, no eyeballing.

    4. Oops…did that stamp properly? If you’re not sure, before you lift your block, put your stamp positioner down and if you didn’t get a good print, you can stamp it again with no trouble.

I love my stamp-a-ma-jig and use it every day. :)

    Helpful tool

I have trouble getting stamps lined up correctly and this tool really helps. I did watch a tutorial for using it because the instructions that came with it were not real clear to me.

    worth every penny!

i have a good-sized collection of wood mounted stamps that i shied away from using due to placement issues. this jig is super simple to use so i know i will be getting more use from my stamps. my favorite use for it has been re-stamping over an image that didn't come out perfect - the alignment is perfect! wish i had gotten it sooner.

  • So Necessary!

If you use stamps, even a few, this is worth the investment. It's so simple to use and so straight-forward, I can't believe someone didn't create this sooner! Now I don't have to worry about my text being off when I'm using 'letter' stamps and I can align flourishes to be exactly where I need them. This is brilliant; I can't say enough about it.
