Not really all that gold
I did an extensive search online to find the right gold ink to use for stamping my wedding invitations since many of the gold inks out there are pigment based and used for embossing. I was so happy to find this one, but I tested it out this weekend and it really performed poorly. First off, the ink pad looks gold, but when I stamp it, it dries as a greenish-brownish-gray color. It has a very light gold shimmer to it that you can only see when you saturate the stamp with ink. The problem when you saturate the stamp is that you compromise the shape and look of the stamp once it's on paper. It just comes out messy, which essentially makes the ink useless. I'm not sure if maybe mine is defective since other reviewers have really liked the color and texture of it, but I will be returning this.
