This is no different than printing on vellum and cutting it out, except this is more work. You still get that "halo" effect unless you have a simple image that can easily be cut out. Don't bother with intricate images
I bought this to try because I never seem to have the right sentiment for cards when I need it. I thought making my own rub-ons on my computer would be awesome. I was right!
I took it slow first and just did black text for Halloween cards. They turned out very well. I was happy because I got to choose my font, and my sayings. I did stuff like "R U Scared", "Got Spooky" and so on. Things I haven't seen on a rub-on elsewhere.
It works great. It does take a little time to get the adhesive on without bubbles but after that you will love it.
I love RUB ONS, but I was tired of not finding what I needed. I have not used this product yet, but I watched a u-tube on how to create custom rub ons with it and I know I will be very pleased to be able to create perfect rub ons in colours I need and of images or art I desire.
I too love the idea of being able to create my own custom rub-ons. It is ideally a fantastic product but it was slightly difficult to use. The package I purchased had all white/semi-translucent sheets with modified instructions (because originally, four of the white sheets should have been blue). I could not tell which sheets were the adhesive sheets and which was the actually the rub-on sheets. Eventually I did figure it out after ruining a sheet.

I wanted to make my own rub ons for greetings cards.
This product is unusable with a printer. I tried
several times and could never get the transfer
paper to feed and print with my printer. The
transfer film kept getting jammed in the printer.
The transfer film is not like regular paper and
easily slips and jams.
Anyway, I never got to the directions part, but the
directions look fairly complicated to use this product.
A complete waste of money. I wasted mine, so
hopefully you can save yours.
I purchase this product on a whim. I needed to put names on ribbon for a wrist corsage. I went to my local craft store and did not have a clue what I needed I needed. I read the package and it sounded like something could do. It work so well, I put purple letters on the ribbon and it looked great.
My grad was very happy with the corsage due to her name on the ribbons.
It's not a rub-on its some sort of sticker thing that is really easy to crinkle and tear up. I took it off and it came off backwards. It was such a waste of money.
