If my friend was looking primarily for a pearl product, I would not recommend these. These strips are very easy to handle - easy to cut and place on my creation. The adhesive backs hold well for my purposes. However, they are not 'pearly'. The 'white' is more translucent - more like a rounded diamond. The black is not pearly - more shiny. They do not have the opaque quality of pearls. So if you are requiring a more pearly look - keep looking. If you need a nice sparkle to add to your creation that is easy to handle and gives a nice finished look, then this might work very well for you.
