This is fantastic - what more could you ask for? There is a great selection of colours and the applicator is so easy to use. I didn't realise there would be stencils included so that was an added surprise.
I love these chalks! The pearlescent ones offer a soft sparkle that gives your projects something a bit beyond the basic chalk look while still giving you the color saturation you expect from chalk sets. The thing that I was most pleased about was that the application tool included was so much nicer than the ones included with other kits. I get really tired of having to resort to cotton swaps when I use other brands because their little application "wands" fall apart in no time. The wooden alligator clip and pom pom tool that comes with this set is fantastic--it can be used again and again. It also gives better coverage than q-tips.
It is also nice that the half-moon shaped tiles are more durable than others (in my experience). It seems like the half-circles don't get jostled as much during transit, though beware--as with any chalks, manhandling will result in the demise of your tiles! My set sadly fell apart this way when I stored them on their side instead of lying flat. Be gentle.
This is a wonderful product and good value for money. I bought 3 for my friends and they are all enjoying the easy way to use them- colouring in vellum & plain card. :)
OMG I got this the other day and cannot stop using it! I love the option of basic or pearlescent! This is a muct have for chalk users!
Bizarre, isn't it ! You would imagine, chalks, you just dab at them with the cotton balls and then put the colour onto your pages, but the chalks just sits firmly in it's little holder no matter what I do ! Dry, wet, brushes, Q-tips - the best I can get is the merest hint of colour on the paper :(
