Ok....so I'm kinda new to the card making and embossing technique. I had made some cards and thought I had bought the right materials for the stamping and glitter. My glitter wasn't sticking and it just turned into a HUGE mess. I looked at some posts on here regarding this tool. I ended up buying the Marvy Heat Tool this weekend and fell in love with it! It also helped that I bought the correct glitter or should I say embossing powder...lol! This tool is so easy to use. I wish I would have bought it along time ago. Not only did I use it to emboss but I also used it to remove some paper that I had adhered to a card previously and decided not to use. I just held the heat tool over the corners where the paper had been adhered with adhesive squares. The paper lifted right up with no problem. All I can say is this is one of the best tools I've bought.

Oh Marvy heat tool, how I love thee. After struggling unsuccessfully to emboss for the first time with Carolee's Creations Hot Boss (which is apparently good for special effects but horribly ineffective for regular embossing), I bought this, used it and breathed a sigh of relief. Embossing is quick and effective with this tool, producing lovely results in record time. You can also use this to dry certain inks on certain materials, for shrinking shrink plastic & to impress patterns onto moldable stylus tips (heat the tip, press a stamp on it). Has a little stand so you can prop this up. Reasonably priced. This is such a great and reliable tool!

I like the fact that it's as easy as flipping the switch and getting started on your craft-making. I had never used a heat tool before or heat embossed anything for that matter, but I used it and it was so easy. It's also pretty lightweight and the fact that it has a stand for you to place down on your worktable is great! The only thing I did not like about this product is the color. I'm not asking for a pink heat gun or anything, but I wasn't too wild about the color either. Other than that, the product is great.
