Look in my gallery, and you will see a card that says UR Sweet as Cherry Pie. Well, those chipboard letters (the U and the R) were an ugly brown color, so I inked them heavily with black ink, and then used this powder, and they look great! In fact they look like bright shiny new black patent leather shoes! I love it! This is one of those things I don't use that often, but always enjoy when I pull it out and use it.
Basic black. Nothing wrong with that. Simple you figure. Not always. Some black powders I've used are wimpy or chunky or boring. This black embossing powder is fine and rich and covers extremely well and gives your project life that it wouldn't have had with a lesser powder. After all the work you put into your project, use the best powder to embellish it even more.
i just learned to emboss about a week ago from a friend. the next morning, all i could think about was how fast i could get to the store that afternoon! i bought a heat gun and several different colors. the ranger line is great, comes in a fantastic array of colors and really sticks to the ink well. i actually have only tried ranger powder and find no reason to stray!
I just can't go wrong with Ranger products, I bought a different brand powder and it just doesn't compare to Ranger. The Black is nice and shiny, very smooth and raised just enough. I think classy is the best work to describe the finished look.
This powder give such a beautiful clear, brilliant, shiny color
to a butterfly I was making that I was astounded. It looked
absolutely beautiful. It is the best I've ever used. I am looking forward to using it on many more projects.
