Not real fond of these "markers" (they're not really pens at all). The "sparkly" ones coat on very thin so you can see through them - however, you can't paint anything underneath them, as these lift the paint below off. They're goopy & gloppy, IF they are working... to get them to work, one must depress the tip until the paint comes out to the tip - but the paint just rolls over the tip and glops onto your project. The little case they came in is adorable, and I'm looking forward to repurpusing it, but the markers probably won't be used much, if at all.
