This is the best thing since sliced bread! Those annoying spots of loose embossing powder on your project are gone! My stamps are now clear and crisp. Love, love, love this product!
I bought this a few months ago thinking it would be the answer to my baby powdering mess. I was wrong. In order for me to use this in any capactiy, I have to remove the top to get powder out, eliminating any benefit to using it. I end up making the mess still only now I have a tool I wasted money on.
I took it back to the store I got it at and their card making expert swears it works correctly. I was told I had to bang it down to get the powder to come out. I had to hit mine pretty darn hard to make it work - not worth the effort. A home made shaker bottle with small holes would work better if you ask me.
I will go back to the baby powder bottle and either my finger or a paint brush.
I know what you may be thinking- "When will I ever use the powder tool? I don't even use stickers anymore" Well, that's just it! With this tool, you are bound to re-use and get back into stickers, because it will make them versatile. The tool dispenses a light powder onto the back of sticker that will deactive the adhesive, so you can use the sticker in other ways. I have used pop-dots on the backs of stickers to add some dimension an used to the powder tool to deactive the adhesive that wasn't touching the paper. I have also used the powder tool on the back of thick epoxy stickers and punched holes in the stickers and used them as tags or charms (and I didn't have to worry about the sticky backing!) I am sure you'll be using this tool more often than you think!
I first used this tool in a card making class and thought I'd never use it at home, so I didn't buy it. As the holidays came around and I started making my own Christmas cards and gift tags I wished I had bought it because I wanted to use some of the techniques I'd learned in the class. My sis gave it to me for Christmas and I couldn't be happier. The tool is used for removing adhesive from the backs of stickers so you can popdot them and add a little more depth to your project. I can't believe how much I've used it in my cardmaking already and I've only had it a week. It isn't one of those tools you'll use much, but it is pretty handy at times.
A little hard to get going, but not an entirely bad thing as the powder has a very nice flow - no problem with too much coming out at once. I like this product quite a bit.
