I purchased this item as I am traveling to the US in July/August 08 and attending 3 scrapbooking events so I need something that will take all my class supplies, a little bit of shopping, okay, I admit it alot of shopping! LOL! The picture on the site makes you think that it is smaller than it actually is, but I can assure you that it take heaps of 12x12 LOs, tools, water bottle and all those bits and pieces you need for scrapbooking! Its gong to be my carry on luggage on my flights while I am away from New Zealand so it will fit in either the overhead locker or under the seat, even though it looks too big to fit!
Update: I took this bag on my trip to the US in 2008, away for just over 3 weeks and this bag took quite a battering, on/off a number of flights, travelled to 3 scrapbooking events so that by the time I got back home it was in a bit of a poor state due to it heavy workload during this time. The seams where the handles are attached have come apart, so while I can't take it away for such a trip again, I can still use it for storage.
I have just returned to England from 2 weeks in Canada, after umming and ahhing over whether to take my croppin' companion along(I bought it to go to my weekly crop), I can say I am so so glad that I did.
I decided I'd have a go at scrapping while on holiday so took my tools and necessary bits with me - I used my tote as my hand luggage and fitted in my scrapping stuff + plus my hand bag, drinks and various items for my kids. It was easy to carry and fitted perrfectly in the overhead lockers.
While on holiday I bought LOADS of scrapping supplies and everytime I thought I could not possibly fit another thing in there, it all went in. I am amazed by how much you can fit in there and although it was heavy on the way back it was still easy to carry.
I highly reccommend this tote, it was great to support my holiday shopping and I even got 5 LOs done while I was away.
