This is very high quality! It's very thin wood, doesn't split easily when cutting with scissors, and has a very thin paper backing that holds it together. If you want a realistic wood look then this is for you, as it is real wood and looks like it. I'm not even all that into scrapbooking or cardmaking. My son gets it to make finger skateboards with. He cuts 7 layers of this wood and glues the plies together, drills holes in it, and adds grip tape (sandpaper), trucks and wheels. Works great for his purposes. When he's happy, I'm happy! I can see where this would have all kinds of applications for scrapbooking in more masculine pages. Also would be good for a wood paneling look in 1970s pages which had wood paneling back in the day (mine did too!). You could also make fake cabinets from it. I can see a lot of applications in doll houses too. You could glue it to the walls for faux cabinet doors. Make the furniture out of cardboard and then veneer it with this. Fun fun fun!
I put this Threw my Cricut Expression 2 & it cut beautifully. This paper makes me feel like a " True Crafter " ! Every time I show my cute Project made out of this wood, My Fam & Friends can't believe it & are always impressed. Will be purchasing again & again.
Used in this project: " Dresser Box Experiment "
I was a little hesitant to get this as I wasn't sure what it would be like or if it would be too heavy or thick to work with, but it is perfect!! Very thin like paper, but with great wood texture and feel! I will have to get some more of this... :)
Does anyone know if this thin wood veneer paper would work in the Silhouette SD? Thanks in advance! ~Shannon :)
