I kept seeing this wood "paper" (it's really thin wood with some sort of paper backer, it isn't self sticky but is single sided) and wondering what I could do with it. When the Tim Holtz dies came out (and I won the birdcage die from UnKit) I went right out and bought some of the wood, both thick and thin to cut out birdcages. If you want to "jazz" up the color of your wood, it will take your distress ink nicely (although people tell me then it doesn't look like wood). I also used some spellbinder dies to cut out some wooden "buttons". These I only tried with the thin version so far. I even embossed with a sizzix embossing plate. The texture was easy to feel, but a little hard to see. I am going to get some more to try with my embossing folders, but right now I have a manly mini I want to make with the thick wood as a cover!
