I bought these to organize my scrapbook bits and pieces. They were perfect for themes that I do not need an entire box for like Easter, Halloween, bath time, etc. Now my stuff is organized and I can grab what I need and take it to a crop. The plastic is clear and sturdy. They have a tab on top so you can label it. My stuff is finally organized!
I invested a sizeable amount in the "other" (I'll refer to it as SR--you can figure it out) project storage system with poor results. The positive is that there are different configurations for different types of projects. The negative is that there is no extra allowance in the project holder for the actual materials. That is, the two-sided pocket system is created out of a single plastic sheet so it fills up fast because no extra room is allocated for the project materials themselves. Thus, the materials are constantly spilling from their pockets. The Cropper Hopper (CH) Page Arranger partly solves these problems. First, there is only one pocket arrangement. As I found with the other (SR) system, I really only need one configuration for most projects. Having 10 or so variations really is unnecessary. Second, the CH system DOES have the extra pocket space needed to hold your project materials. However, it you don't fill the pocket, your items can still fall out. A final negative is that unfortunately this system is quite expensive, one for one, compared to the other project management system. But these arrangers are totally reusable. When I finish with the other brand, the project holder is so beat up I could keep it but it's made of cheap plastic and looks unsightly on my desk and shelves. And the plastic has stretched but not in a useful way. So out it goes.
Thus, the SR and CH project holders have positives and negatives. As long as you keep your CH Page Arranger upright your materials will stay put (the video shows them put on the shelf sideways which seems odd to me) and they hold a surprising amount of stuff due to the extra plastic added for each pocket. This item is designed to work with the CH Paper File (which holds up to 12x12 sized sheets)--comes in a set of 3 files--and with the CH Paper Holder (essentially a file pocket in which you can store your Paper Files and two Paper Arrangers. You can buy these 3 items as a set for about $19.
Now imagine buying enough of these units to hold all your projects. This is quite an investment. I've chosen to buy the SR Paper Storage Boxes (5 cardboard paper holders for the same price as a single CH combo). These units hold a lot of stuff, including several Paper Arrangers. (I skip the Paper Files, and tuck the Paper Arrangers in the paper storage boxes.)
The SR paper storage boxes actually are my salvation. I use them to keep everything from paper to projects to embellishments to tool refills sorted and my shelves look surprisingly neat (for a cheap price!). The Arrangers are so expensive (about $9 for two, I only buy one box per order I place with scrapbook.com and I use them for new projects only. The projects already in the SR protectors will have to stay there--it would be impossibly expensive to replace all of them with CH Page Arrangers. But despite the expense and some potential spillage (although they will even hold a Maya Road 3 ring binder for a mini album kit without falling out), I hope this product sticks around. It's a great solution to the project organization dilemma. I see there's a new CH Paper Envelope which will accommodate some embellishments without the pockets. But it has a top flap and looks more difficult to get your materials in and out of compared to the CH Arranger. Your choice.
But I highly recommend the CH Page Arranger--two at a time!
It seems like I am buying more things in collections these days, and storing everything together became an issue. These Page Arrangers do the trick! There is a large compartment for 12x12 papers, etc. (I have one holding 2 full 12x12 paper pads!); and the other side has 3 other pockets sized to hold dies, flowers, smaller paper pads, embellishments, stamps, etc. I started with my Graphics 45 stuff and never looked back - everything is organized! Now when I want to work with a collection, everything is all in one place already. Sure, they are great to store stuff for one page or project at a time - but I love them as long-term collection storage; once I have used most of the collection and break it up into other places, I can use the organizer all over again!
I label these "Projects in waiting", then I put the photos with the papers and the assorted embellishments together in these handy storage sleeves and I'm ready to go. I am a busy working Mom, so these are a life saver. Everything is at your fingertips when you are ready to scrap!
I love these page arrangers - I've got about 20 now. I can now put all papers, stickers, photos, brads, buttons etc for particular pages together so I can find them easily. They also come with little labels which is handy. I've found that the 33cm cube boxes that are used with cube shelving are ideal to keep these in. I just wish they were available in bigger packs than 2.
I've purchased to store collections or themes. Because it will fit in a CH Page Holder, it works well. However, I am finding that most of the collections are making their packaging for sticker diecut embellishments too large to fit in the bottom sideways as shown, and am having to stand in the full 12x12 with the paper. Wish the manufacturers would wakeup and at least make the body of the packaging no longer than 12".
Also thee is no closure at the top of any pocket, so would want to store with openings at the top, not on its side.
These page arrangers are always great. They are sturdy and hold most of my stuff for each pack or a pack of products. I would recommed then to any person who wants to help organize their stash. Thanks. I actually ordered 4 more sets after this order.
Love the page arrangers! I like to get out a whole bunch of scrappy stuff that may go together and store them safely in this product! I have 4 of them and am considering adding 2 more!
This fir nicely into the Cropper Hopper paper holders and are a great way to include paper, photos and embellishments in one place.
