I bought this because it was cheaper than buying the two 24-units individually- I don't use the swivel, I just have them sitting side by side on my desk. However, the swivel is really sturdy/quality should you want to use it. I don't know how much I would "travel" with this thing, other than perhaps from one room of the house to another, it seems like the inks could fall out if jostled too much. That said, all my inks fit (I have all manner of hobby-lobby-sold inks: versa, distress, staz-on, etc), and the sold-separate inserts are an absolute must for the distress inks - makes them fit perfectly. My only complaint is that it's boring black plastic, and I prefer natural materials. I'll have to spice it up, I think!
I have been waiting months to buy this but was putting it off because of the very high shipping charge, I finally received it today. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Fits all my different size stamp pads very neatly, plenty of space. My one complaint is that while the slots on top are fine for thin bottles there are only two bigger spaces for wider bottles. Just one little thing, overall I love this product. It is a little sturdier than I had anticipated. very satisfied.
This is my second one, I LOVE it!! I do have an issue with this last one I ordered. This unit has 2 long slats that hook into the side of the unit to keep the ink pads in place if you want to pick it up and take it somewhere. The little plastic hook on one of the slats was broken off. Not damaged enough to cause me to send it back, postage would be too much, but a little disappointed. Overall though, this is a great stamp pad organizer.
I had been looking for a way to get my ink pads organizd and easy to see. I looked in several craft stores but never saw anything made specifically for this use. When I came upon this storage unit I was so excited. When it arrived I had to assemble it (not difficult). I now have my ink pads organized and at my fingertips. I don't plan on carrying mine anywhere but but if you do, I want to warn you that it is heavy.
I love this organizer for my ink pads. Previously, I wasted far too much time searching for the right ink pad color. Now, they are at my finger tips. The base swivels easily to provide easy access to all 48 pads, and the attached carry strap and cover plates means that one could easily transport the pads without fear of them falling out. A great product. I'm glad that I purchased two.
