First, this is my first time attempting scrap booking anything! So... when the directions came as black & white picture I went, oh great... well, luckily, all the items were numbered, but you still had to be aware of what went on top of what, etc. Some of the directions did NOT specify where an item went, but had a number by it. I got creative.
I did not like all the designs, in fact, I tossed 3 of them and got creative on a few others, but that's what it's all about right?
The colors are NOT like the picture. They are dull, not bright and cherry at all. They look more "vintage" or "retro", so if you're expecting bright cheery colors, you're not going to get that. I liked the "retro" look, so I was okay.
The stickers provided would fit inside the cards, but none of them fit on anything on the outside of the cards. The various banners that go on the outside (as you can see in the picture) are quite small and the lettering is quite large. I finally bought some separate Christmas quote rub-ons to use on the outside and inside.
A lot of the elements with sticky stuff on the back are already falling off and I just did them. They are also quite heavy cards. They will take extra postage and I think I may need to get out some real glue to keep some of these suckers on.
Be prepared to get creative, buy some extra materials, and deal with faded NOT bright colors!
Hope my first review was helpful.
I was disappointed at how dull and lifeless this card kit was. The directions weren't the best either. The examples were in black and white which made it difficult to see. Lastly the rub on transfers were very sticky and stuck to the wrong things. This resulted in ruining the card. Very cheaply made. I'm not sure if I'll even finish making the others.
