I love this product and if you like to add paper stitching to your pages you'll love them too. This package comes with four templates that offer two easy to make stitching patterns on each one. I have never sewn before but this makes paper stitching a breeze. Your pages will thank you for this purchase time and time again.
This product has saved me tons of money. I no longer have to purchase ready made items or already cut borders. I now can make them myself and they look as if I had purchased them. They make several templates besides these ones and you'll love them all. They do more than just offer a great solution to borders you can use them in many, many other ways. You can create stitched photo borders, put stitches together to add accent or detail, and use them to create one of a kind embellishments. They work for other things besides paper, you know can stitch on flowers, tags, or any other detail piece you might want to use.
This product also saves me a ton of time. I no longer have to measure out all of my stitches and make sure all of my marks line up. Now I can just drop the template on my page and pierce my paper. It is already measured out for me. Anyone can use this product from adults to kids. It is that easy. I can not stop using my In Stitch'z Template Collection. I haven't been this excited about a product in a long time. Thank You Bazzill Basics!
There was an artical in a magazine, where they tried out the differant stiching templates and products. I wanted to try it out, I had seen layouts with stitched accents and thought they looked great. The only problem was, the only way to get them was on the internet. I had searched the local craft shops and Walmart, and couldn't find them. Then, last week, I was in AC Moore's while they were stocking the shelves. I used my 40% off coupon and got the mat, a peircing tool, and 2 sets of templates. I did not get the "special" floss or needle, since I already have generic versions, ie cheaper. I didn't need them anyway. It's nice that the threads come to match the papers, but if just use DMC, it's cheaper and there are more colors. That aside, the whole thing is quick and easy and comes out looking great. The only (slight) problem that I could see would be the length. They are not long enough to go all the way across a 12X12 page. So far I have centered them, but I am also going to try mirroring it, to make it go all the way across. Either way it looks good, and is super easy to do. But when they say start with a yard of floss, I would start with more, you can always cut off the extra, but if you don't have enough to finish, you have to take it all out and start all over.
I always loved the way that stitching looks on these fantastic layouts I saw. I have no sewing experience whatsoever so I thought that this would just be a technique that I wouldn't be able to use. Not so, I asked how people were able to achieve such precise stitching on their pages and I was referred to this. This was so easy to use! There was no learning curve at all and I really liked the way it turned out. I've only tried one of the templates so far, but look forward to using the others very soon.
