Straight out of the packet I popped new batteries in, they were correct type, I turned it on and the handle got really hot and smoke came from the switch. I quickly turned it off and removed the batteries which were also very hot and that was the end of my tool
This tool is so easy to use. It has a mini vacuum that holds the gem to the tip while you place it on your project. You have to use the i-roc gems sold separately but it adds a little bling almost anywhere you want to add it to your projects. I enjoy adding a little bling to my projects and this tool makes it super easy.

No this isn't a glue gun. It applies heat to set the crystals.
